This gorgeous, custom built, post and beam home has access to Notched Pond. This home is conveniently located a few miles off I95 and is easily accessible to many activities in Portland, Maine or the ski and snowmobile trails! INTERIOR: Upon entering this 4 bed/2 bath home, you will see the gorgeous foyer. On you main floor, you will also find a large kitchen, dining room and access to an outdoor balcony with seating. The living room is cozy and offers a gas fireplace and there is a newly remodeled full bathroom, as well. You will also have direct access to the back deck from here too. Upstairs, you will find two bedrooms and an additional full bathroom. The primary bedroom offers gorgeous cathedral ceilings, a KING sized bed, a large closet, and a gas fireplace. There is also an alcove above that has a quiet workspace if needed. The other bedroom has a QUEEN sized bed. Down on the bottom floor, you will find a QUEEN sized bed in the third bedroom. The fourth bedroom offers a FULL sized bed, as well as a TWIN sized bed. And the lower level family room has a futon for additional sleep space and an additional TV.
EXTERIOR: Take your morning coffee on one of the two decks while listening to the call of the loons from Notched Pond; then load up your gear and walk +/-5 minutes down the road to the shared water access and shared dock. This really is the perfect place to fish or take out your own paddle board, canoe, and/or kayak during the day. The pond is peaceful and quiet. Finish your day out back, lounging on the deck, playing Corn Hole, or relaxing by the fire while you grill up a delicious meal.
SPRING STAYS: Come stay at The Notch during the springtime in Maine to take in the various blooming trees and flowering landscapes. You will love seeing the trees transitioning from buds to vibrant greens. Don’t forget to bring your fishing rods because the fishing on Notched Pond is wonderful! This season can be tricky in Maine weather wise, so you may be able to enjoy the deck while grilling or you may want to cozy up to the fireplace reading an enchanted book.
SUMMER STAYS: If you are looking for a peaceful stay in the summer, this is the place to be! With this property having Notched Pond access, a beautiful yard with enough room for your entire group and accommodating interior, we believe you will make lasting memories! There are many things to do during the summer from fishing, swimming and BBQing. There is no better place to spend your next vacation!
AUTUMN STAYS: Check out The Notch during autumn in Maine to really experience the stunning foliage changes that the Northeast has to offer. Make a trip to a nearby apple orchard, take in the local county fair, or enjoy a fall hike during your stay. Once you are back, make hot apple ciders and sip them by the outdoor fire pit under the stars.
WINTER VISITS: This year round home offers gas fireplaces to keep you warm and cozy during the Maine cold nights. Take a trip to one of the nearby mountains for some skiing. Most of them are between 30-60 minutes away. Warm up after a day of cross country skiing or snowshoeing on trails that are conveniently located. Sip hot chocolate next to the fireplace while watching the snowfall, reading a good book or playing a board game.
HOUSE RULES/SECURITY: This is a non-smoking property. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. No parties or underage drinking. Quiet hours between 10pm-7am. There is a STRICT 15 MPH speed limit on this and the surrounding roads. Number of guests past quiet hours may not exceed the number of guests listed. Any and all damages will be reported to Campfire Booking. Exterior security cameras with audio are appropriately placed on the exterior to protect both guests and owners and are only used to ensure the house rules are followed. Maine State Law requires all children 10 and under to wear a floatation device while using any watercraft.
A signed Guest Rental Agreement is required prior to your stay and will be sent to you via DocuSign following your confirmed reservation. Please make sure your email is accurate.
PARKING: Plenty of parking. Please note for winter months, parking to the right of the front porch is prohibited and is needed for snow removal purposes.
Bed linens and towels are NOT included in your stay. You will be responsible for sheets, pillow cases and towels. You will also be responsible for any toilet paper that will be needed beyond the two rolls per bathroom that will be supplied to you. Please note that Scott 1000 1-ply toilet paper is the only toilet paper that is “septic safe”. There is no water filtration system, so bottled water is necessary for drinking.
PETS: As much as we love pets, they are not allowed at this property.
